Tamara Lawson Schuster

Tamara Lawson Schuster recently relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, from Kansas City. She has spent her professional career in the Jewish education and community engagement spaces, having served in education administration and programming roles in synagogue, day school, JCC, and Jewish Federation settings. She earned Joint Master’s degrees in Jewish Education and Jewish Communal Service from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles. Tamara is married to Neal Schuster who serves as rabbi of Temple B’nai Jeshurun in Des Moines, IA. They are the empty nest parents of three young adult children, Eliana, Ayelet, and Judah. Their dog, Oscar, still lives at home! Tamara enjoys exploring her new city, cooking and baking, spending time with family and friends, serving on faculty at Jewish summer camp, and cheering on the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs (she became a fan during their 20 years in KC)! She looks forward to being part of the Partnership2Gether Western Galilee Central Area Consortium family.
